Royal Opera House Apprenticeship technical theatre
This apprenticeship interests me because it teaches you all about the technical side of theatre. I will be working with lighting, sound and effects for stage show productions. This is the line of work i want to get into and the job i want for the future is a T.V studio lighting engineer or designer. This would help me learn about lighting while giving me a small income and hands on experience with industrial lighting. To apply for this i need to fill in the on line application form and then if accepted go in with my cv for an interview. It is a two year apprenticeship in which you are paid minimum wage, while working a 9-5 shift. Weekend work is discussable with your line manager. I will need to be aware and rad up on health and safety as i will be working with nights and heavy equipment. Also i will need to be aware i am allowed a 30 minute lunch break during the day.
